Should I or shouldn’t I?
Hi, my wife and are still very much in love and are actually still having good sex but we both feel there’s a little something missing. So, we have just recently started an open relationship and we’ve both newly joined IE in the last couple of weeks or so. We’re both looking for quite different things from IE but obviously ultimately it comes down to wanting to get intimate with someone other than each other.
My wife seems to be getting loads of attention but me, not so much.
My question is, do you think the fact that I’ve mentioned in my profile about being in an open relationship is putting a lot of ladies off.
Should I not mention it? Or is it something else?

I'm certain that's part of the case, but women always get more attention on any site. You might find what you want on a swingers' site.

Good for you both and hope you both enjoy some fantastic sex with others.
As a man I would have thought there’d be plenty of women on here who wouldn’t be put off by your situation. Might even be the case that another couple are attracted and would get together. My advice - don’t despair and I’m sure you’ll have more than one opportunity.

I think this is refreshing and honest, if unusual. I don't know of course but I suspect the fact that you are concerned with your wife getting more attention means that perhaps you aren't as comfortable with the arrangement as you think? As always a bit of honest dialogue may help. There is of course the simple fact that males tend to be more obviously and 'instantly' thirsty than females (though everyone is of course different). Can't fight 4 billion years of evolution 😁

If the OP is honest, he'll come back and tell us it all ended in tears!
These things are never what you think they are in reality and human emotions are never straight forward ... people react differently when they are confronted with the actual situation.

Be interesting if the OP came back with an update on how the new lifestyle was going? Was it a success?

No shit your wife’s doing better than you, so much for a bit of friendly competition.

I gave my 10 cents on what a mistake you have made but to answer your original question…Yes, putting open relationship on your profile will affect things. People are largely looking for others in a similar situation to themselves. Most women on here are married and in your case if stuff hits the fan and people find out, the blowback is significantly less severe for you compared to them.
Just my take.

My Apologies Paula99 if you did. I know a couple of you actually did but mostly it was just giving their opinion on my situation which was also welcome too.
It’s all a learning curve😊
I’m just glad we don’t have to lie about what we’re doing.
