I don’t think anyone falls for chat up lines any more. I’ll try and use some kind of hook in an introduction message and make each one tailored to the woman I’m writing to. Many ladies have really great profile names, so that’s a way into their personality as well.

I generally try and read the tone of the profile and respond in the same manner.

As always, pretty much nothing will guarantee a reply. Sometimes it’s a matter of saying the right thing at the right time.

I definitely didn’t use the old favourite : “excuse me, you’re like a really good toolkit - every time I see you my nuts tighten” …. :)

In all seriousness, there isn’t really a formula for these things, just be yourself and be chatty, and if the recipient likes you, they’ll reciprocate, almost certainly! :)

Sadly ….thats the symptoms with online dating/hookups …let’s face it guys have been chasing sex since Adam n Eve were in the garden of Eden…but now it’s much more difficult to attain as women are not puppets anymore…

In defence some women make it difficult with their expectations and shopping lists but it’s all karma to both sexes..😎

I write messages responding to someone's profile, try to inject some humour, generally to people who are online. Ask a question to start a conversation.

I get a reply maybe one time out of 10, and of those replies, no more than 1 in 10 is anything more than a one line response like "hi, how's your day?"

It's pretty easy to get demoralised!
