Is monogamy unnatural?
I tried to be faithful, for a long time. However, I always, always had the feeling I needed to see more than one person. I used to think that there was something wrong with me, but now I'm certain that it is monogamy that is unnatural.
Agree or disagree?

I see nothing "natural" in a monogamous marriage lasting 40-50 years where both partners fancy the pants off each other after all that time.
Love may not wane with time, but desire certainly does.
The problem seems to be that very few couples have the courage to be open with each other and say "I love you, I like having sex with you, but I want more sex with someone else"
I tried this approach with my wife of many years and she said she was only interested in me sexually. Not what I was hoping would happen!
Anyway, I've gone down my own road, hence being here. I'm not looking to fuck everyone in sight, but do want some of the variety that my wife won't offer and just to feel the touch, smell and taste of another woman.
Is that too wrong?
Oh, and any woman on this site who reads this and agrees, let me know ;-)

When you think about reasons for being on here and monogamous marriage etc.
Is it not a big ask to be somebody’s ‘Everything‘ for ever?

I find that I've lived many different lives and although I'm married, at each new stage chapter I find I need something more in my life. Some people find monogamy natural but for me I can see how it can be

If it suits you, then it's nobody's business, is it?

"So I think marriages should be on a five or ten year fixed term. At the end of the term, move on to the next one. Thoughts ..?? "
Might not be that easy to find another one to move on to? As it is, marriage is open ended anyway, isn't it. You can get divorced any time you want … some don't even last five years.
I was married for 20+ years … what ended it was his mistress giving him an ultimatum and he obviously chose a bleached blonde half his age. Oh and I hear there is trouble in paradise now … how it makes me laugh!!! :-))

Ok... so whose “kissed” on the first date? And if you don’t understand the quotation marks then move on lol
Some may think that’s bad but the chemistry can be electric when things become spontaneous

Hey Teicu,x
I'm conscious not to hijack this thread (!)
-and anyway I agree with your point in general terms-
but it just struck me that Demi posted he(?) had been
"spend all morning chatting to someone"
rather than an initial misguided approach?
It reads like it was a case of "now I've seen him, he's not my type & I cant be bothered to reply / I'll block"
Just didnt want the guy to have a bad rep x
-Unless you know something we dont!
:-o

I’m not sure about monogamy being unnatural, but I’m not sure this ‘til death us do part’ thing is now as it was originally intended. Barely a hundred years ago, people died much younger (50s was considered old) and therefore marriages tended to only last 20-30 years.
Now people are typically living until their 80s and beyond, making 60+ years of marriage not unachievable (great ..). Sixty or more years sharing the bed of just one person snoring and grunting and farting away isn’t something I relish the idea of.
So I think marriages should be on a five or ten year fixed term. At the end of the term, move on to the next one. Thoughts ..??

I read your comment with interest. What is rude is when you get a sexually explicit first intro message...maybe something to think about in how you handle your approach?
