Yes, its confusing, as different guys (and ladies probably too) interpet this in different ways.... as this is a married-persons website - to me, a long/short relationship IS an affair....

So 'casual' is a hook-up, ONS or something that can be repeated multiple times, perhaps with multiple connections, as and when, perhaps or maybe... and not the sort of committed affair I'm looking for. To me, an affair is a 'relationship' in this setting.

So where a guy refers to casual, I ask their interpretation of it to clarify, as on its own it means different things to different people...

I was wondering that too and thought that "casual" implies a repeatable one night stand, if that makes sense! I also wonder how short is "short term relationship"? Is that a ONS, something that lasts for a couple of weeks or simply a relationship that isn't expected to last forever? But, to my mind, none of it is important (unless you have a particular desire to avoid profiles that say "long term" or "casual") as "see how it goes" covers all the bases! Until you've made contact with someone, surely all bets are off?
