There is no simple answer to this. As you get closer, you will share many of the reasons that led you to IE. However, at the point where it's no longer fun to talk because one is treating the other like a free therapist then you need to say 'time out - remember this is supposed to be fun?' There is nothing wrong in sharing a bit more information than sexual preferences, but who really wants to hear about why your partner isn't interested in oral sex?

I have to ask what their issues are in their current situation, it gives you an idea of their context, and whether you can relate.

If they go on too much…change the subject, you can change it to a better subject where you both can enjoy. Perhaps your next meet up?

I am not suggesting they are, just the one I met. I'm sure the ones like yourself are in the majority. I can see however that having an affair might be just enough of a diversion to make beingarried to someone bearable. I would also say it probably works both ways, male and female.

Dave I’m the same.. there has to be a balance and how can my IE know about me and my IF they don’t understand why I’m here… Although I’m a rarity I have sex with my husband still

Here we go. Women on here are not. Always looking for an escape. I have kids and will Never Leave my husband…

May be I'm just old school.
I think it is good to have a balanced conversation, the home life issues are probably common to both parties and it gives that bond and understanding . However I feel it is also important to have that parallel life of flirting and fun with some caring affection that builds an attraction .
It's just a shame we are in this virtual digital world...

Get away

My last affair was with someone looking for an exit. She was a lovely person and it was a great year (I wish it went on for longer). However it does highlight that there are women, and I don't doubt me, who use this site and having an affair as a prelude to leaving their marital relationship. Iake no judgement on this, people do what they do. It doesn'tean they shouldnt be listened to. It might just be their last cry for help.

I think I’d be more concerned that they are so overly unhappy with their situation that they want an exit plan. Although I guess they would have done that prior to IE (I’d hope!). Could it be a sign of loneliness or their personality? We have to take personal responsibility for our life choices.

I don’t ask personal questions prior to meeting but their situation is what brought them here. I think all of that information prior to meeting would put me off as it’s telling me about their personality traits and how they connect
