How much is too much?
Does anyone else find it drags you down when you are chatting to someone, it's going well, and then they commence to dump their emotional baggage onto you? Complaining about their life choices, their wife/husband, their problems at home, why their partner isn't giving them sex, their kids, their relatives? Particularly when you've not even met? Turn off?

I think it’s ok to cover it off but yeah bashing the other half and how hard done to they are makes me switch off a little.

I dont mind if it helps some times there is no where to get this stuff ones chest. Luckily I am separated and dont have those issues but I can relate to them and its difficult if one cant leave due to financial reasons or kids but want to talk

Yes it’s a turn off, I’m a good listener and maybe that can make things worse?
I think this site should be used as a way to forget those things for a while

You will be surprised how many men ‘list’ their wives faults …
If they think it’s only the other half that’s got the issues then they are delusional…..it’s a two way street here..🙄

Yes that does sound a bit much, especially if you haven't met yet !!
I get that everyone needs that support network for somethings, if you can't necessarily discuss marriage issues with friends or family

I couldn't live with that. As others have said, we are here to escape that and build a separate relationship.
If someone starts dumping on me I'll be out pretty quick.
