What are the best chat up lines?
Hi,
I'm new here and I'm torn between sending a catchy chat up line or something a bit more personal. Any advice which works best?

I’m starting to think I’m the comic relief of this form
For instance
Knock knock.
Who’s there?
Howard.
Howard who?
Howard you like to skip the small talk and get straight to the bad decisions?

That would be a good opening message
I was thinking about messaging you, I might do it later? 😁

I’m very very tempted to be sarcastic 🙃 about this one
I’ll think about it later

Given the breadth of human experience, why are there only seven basic narrative structures? Why do I always feel compelled to talk about the three subjects that must always be avoided when in polite company?
I suspect that, given the variety of people here, there are a similarly diverse range of openers. Also depending on the mood - and the result that you’re trying to achieve.

Given the range of subjects and experiences here, why does this forum only seem to have half a dozen talking points?

From what I gather and have experienced there is no one best thing to say. Try humour and you can look unfunny, be courteous and it looks boring.
If anything knowing and thinking about that persons profile seems to have some interest. But then again if your profile doesn’t match or pictures aren’t genuine then you’ve got very little chance.

Welcome aboard — it’s a bit like a cocktail party here… except everyone’s pretending not to look too interested 😉
As for chat-up lines? Sure, a cheeky opener like “Are you French? Because Eiffel for you” might get a smile — but trust me, nothing beats making her feel like she’s more than just another message.
My advice? Lead with something real… then follow it up with just enough wit to spark curiosity.
For example:
"You seem like the kind of woman who breaks hearts without meaning to… Should I be worried?" 😏
That way, you’re personal and playful. And if it still doesn’t work? Just blame me. 😂

Just be normal, confident and say hi. I have often approached women and said ‘hi, I thought I’d be sociable and come say hi, my name is xxxx’. Women want to be approached and even if they’re not interested they often say thanks for coming over. Stay away from cheesy lines, it’s bad.
